How do you filter your questions based on who you’re talking to? How do you filter what you hear into judgements about others? Imagine the person you’re talking to is someone else. Does what you say to them feel different? Does what they say to you impact you differently?


Enter the piece with a partner, one to each side stationed by a phone.
It doesn’t matter if you already know this person or not - they will soon transform into someone else.
Both participants each privately draw one card from each of the piles labeled A, B, and C.
The identity they discover is now embodied by their partner across the wall.
The participant on the side of the wall with the pull cord now draws a card from the QUESTIONS pile.
Then they lift the receiver and gently tug the pull cord to call their partner.
When their partner answers their phone, the caller asks the question on the card.
The callee answers the question.The call may continue or may be terminated by either participant at any time.
